We accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Bank Wire Transfer, Money Orders drawn from US banks, Cashier's, Personal and Corporate checks. Payment MUST clear before your item will be shipped. Time for payment to clear will vary, depending upon the form of payment used, and may take several days to complete. Pennsylvania residents must pay 6% sales tax.
Shipping within the United States is free. We ship second day via FedEx, UPS or US Postal Service. An adult signature delivery confirmation is required - no exceptions! Most items are shipped within 3 business days after payment clears.
International Shipping is available at an additional charge (including Canada). All duties and customs fees for international shipments are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Check with your local customs office for information prior to purchase. No shipping to Indonesia or Thailand.
SAFE DELIVERY POLICY
All of our items are shipped by carriers that require an adult's signature upon receipt. We track each shipment until it is received and signed for. Our liabilities for safe delivery guarantee cease and you assume the liability for any shipment once the package is confirmed delivered.
Packages accepted and/or signed for by a doorman or building representative, are considered to be a confirmed delivery, and therefore liabilities will rest between the recipient and the individual that accepted and/or signed for your parcel, not with Gemological Resources, Inc.
Packages left at an address because the recipient has a "Signature Release" on file with the shipper, are considered to be a confirmed delivery, and therefore our liabilities for safe delivery guaranteed cease and you assume the liability when we have delivery confirmation from the shipper. We highly recommend you check with FedEx and UPS to make sure you DO NOT have a "Signature Release" on file. Our liability terminates once a package is confirmed as delivered by the shipper, and this includes packages left at an address because the recipient has such a "Signature Release" on file with the shipper.
CUSTOMER OWNED DIAMONDS AND GEMSTONES
Gemological Resources, Inc. is not responsible for customer owned diamonds or gemstones, loose or set. No gemstone, including a diamond, can be guaranteed not to break, chip, scratch, or fracture. We therefore DO NOT guarantee that a diamond or gemstone, after the date of delivery, will not chip, break, scratch, or fracture, and as a result become loose and/or fall out. We strongly suggest insuring your jewelry items with a homeowners or private insurance policy that covers loss and/or damage to jewelry, should damage or loss occur.
If you send us your diamond(s) or gemstone(s), for any reason, we will treat the item with the greatest care possible and maintain safe storage when the item is not undergoing inspection and/or work. However, Gemological Resources, Inc. is not responsible for any damage to, or loss of any customer owned diamond(s) and/or gemstone(s). In the event we receive a diamond and/or gemstone that is damaged, chipped, broken, or has large inclusions or imperfections, we will inform the customer and return the item to you.
PRODUCT PRICING & AVAILABILITY
Although unlikely, product data and pricing information may be inaccurately displayed on our website due to system or human errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sometimes an item can go out of stock before we are able to post notification to the site. If this does happen, we will notify you as soon as possible so that we can help you find another suitable item.
If the Purchaser is unsatisfied for any reason, the item can be returned for a full refund - minus actual cost of shipping and insurance, and any fees associated with refunding the payment - within 7 calendar days after receiving the item. The return period starts on the first day of confirmed delivery of the item to the delivery address.
All items must be returned in their original condition. Any item that has been sized (by someone other than Gemological Resources, Inc), engraved, set, or otherwise modified, worn or shows signs of wear is non-returnable. All paperwork, tags, boxes, bags, certificates or any other packaging or objects included with the item must be returned, unaltered and intact, for a full refund.
The refund will be issued in the same form as the purchase was made. Refunds shall be issued after verification of the merchandise, which may take up to 5 business days. Shipping and insurance charges are non-refundable. Certification and labor costs are also non-refundable. All special orders and custom made items require a 50% deposit and are non-cancellable and non-returnable.
1. Obtain a Return Authorization Code: You must notify us of your intention to return any item. Call our office at 215-938-7252 between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST to obtain a Return Authorization Code. This code must be displayed in the lower left hand corner of the shipping box. Any return shipment without a Return Authorization Code may be refused receipt by GRI. Return shipments must be postmarked within 5 days of the issuance of the Return Authorization Code.
2. Package Your Return: Package you item in the manner it was originally received. Be sure to include all paperwork, tags, boxes, bags, certificates or any other objects sent with the item. For security reasons DO NOT write "Gemological Resources" anywhere on the outside of the box. Address return shipments to:

3. Insure Your Package: Insure your return package for the full price of the item, as stated on your invoice. If the purchase price of the item to be returned is:
Less than $500 USD: Ship your package via any carrier and with insurance for the full purchase price and request a signature confirmation on delivery. Note: Delivery confirmation is NOT signature confirmation!
More than $500 USD: Ship your package via USPS Registered Mail and insure it for the full purchase price. FedEx and UPS will not insure loose diamonds or gemstones.
More than $25,000 USD: High Value items require special arrangements. Please contact Gemological Resources Inc. for suggestions and assistance on how to make a return shipment.
Gemological Resources Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages! Please note, our office hours are appointment only. Packages without signature delivery confirmation - including those with delivery confirmation only - may be left outside our office at times when we are not there, and are at risk for being lost or stolen! We strongly recommend that all return shipments have a signature delivery confirmation of receipt.
CONFLICT FREE POLICY
Gemological Resources, Inc. has a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds. Measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, are employed by the industry in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organizations, police diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds.
We only purchase diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process. If any of Gemological Resources Inc.'s suppliers was ever found to be in violation of that process, Gemological Resources, Inc. would immediately sever that relationship. We will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the diamond trade.
